The joinery
Wood holding wood.
The legs meet the top in a wedged through-tenon you can see and touch. No metal brackets, no bolts to work loose. It gets tighter as the oak settles.

Hardwax oil marks less than lacquer and repairs with a cloth and a capful of oil. We send the oil.
